Questions
What data can the connection access?
Read-only access to your Google Search Console performance data through Vantage, and the proposals already in your approval queue. It never sees your password, billing details, or Google credentials, and it cannot change your live site without an explicit approval.
How does approving a change work?
Tools like vantage_quick_wins and vantage_optimise_page only ever return suggestions. Nothing ships until you approve it — from your dashboard, or by calling vantage_approve with a specific change id after you have confirmed it. Approvals run through the same validated, audited, revertible pipeline as the dashboard.
How do I disconnect?
From your dashboard settings, the MCP connection card has a Disconnect button that revokes every token instantly. Access also expires automatically after 90 days. You stay in control the whole time.
Which clients are supported?
Anything that speaks the Model Context Protocol over Streamable HTTP: Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop), Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code and Cline. Because it is a remote server, setup is one URL or one command everywhere.
